Siesta Key rums took five gold medals at the 2015 Rum Renaissance competition against traditional large producers as well as many craft rums. In fact, our line of spiced rums took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the spiced rum category! Our SK Spiced rum was also named one of the best artisan products in the United States by Cooking Light magazine. The Caribbean Journal gave us the Rummy award for Best Spiced Rum of the Year in 2012, 2013, and 2014 calling Siesta Key Spiced the best spiced rum on the market. They also said that the competition "wasn't close." The Caribbean Rum & Beer Festival awarded a medal to only one U.S. made rum - Siesta Key Spiced was their top ranked spiced rum. Our solera aged Distiller's Reserve Spiced rum was given 94 points by Wine Enthusiast magazine, a score nearly unheard of for a spiced rum.
Our new Toasted Coconut rum has been called "something the rum industry has not seen before" and is said to "raise the bar for all coconut rums" by Got Rum magazine. The Herald Tribune called it too good to mix. Inu A Kena gave it 9 out of 10 points in a rave review.
