A labor of local love

Drum Circle Distilling is a small artisan distillery located in Sarasota, FL. We began our distilling story with the goal of producing the finest quality hand-crafted rums available.

To accomplish this, we sought out the best distilling equipment and local ingredients we could find. Our research into the right equipment started years ago, and is now up in runnning in a 6400 square foot space encompassing our distilling system, barrel racks for aging, and labeling and bottling stations.

Our distilling takes place on an artisinal custom-crafted system produced by Christian Carl in Germany. For over 150 years, Carl has produced the world's best distilling systems. Working directly with Carl, we were able to custom design a small-batch copper pot still that is perfect for making the finest tasting rum.

Beautiful both to behold and in operation, our still allows us to smooth out bitter flavors and produce a refined and full-flavored spirit. By meticulously controlling every stage of the distillation process, we are able to make world-class rum from scratch, right here in Sarasota.
